PSSL Team Reunites at the 15th International LISA Symposium
The Precision Space Systems Laboratory (PSSL) from the University of Florida had a strong presence at the 15th International LISA Symposium in Dublin, Ireland, from July 7-12, 2024. The team presented their latest work on several fronts, including the LISA Charge Management Device (CMD), the Torsion Pendulum, test mass data glitch mitigation, and the CLICK and GRATTIS projects.

UF To Play Key Role in Groundbreaking Laser Interferometer Space Antenna Mission
The University of Florida’s Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, in partnership with NASA, is making a significant contribution to the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission — a groundbreaking endeavor that the European Space Agency (ESA) has now formally adopted. UF is the only academic institution in the United States to be awarded a contract to develop hardware that will fly on the LISA mission.

UF awarded NASA contract to build space exploration device
NASA has awarded the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) Charge Management Device (CMD) contract to the University of Florida, Gainesville. The total value of this cost-no-fee contract is $12,582,356.00. The period of performance is from Jan 1, 2021 through July 31, 2025. The work under this contract will be performed at the University of Florida.
